It’s probably safe to assume that just about everyone would like to have a more attractive smile. After all, having a nice smile makes us feel more self-assured and self-confident, so it only makes sense to make the most out of the smiles that we have. And that’s exactly what teeth whitening does! Dr. Williamson is pleased to offer his San Antonio, Texas patients Glo Whitening products, a whitening system that produces remarkably whiter, brighter teeth in just a single visit to our office.
The Popularity of Teeth Whitening
There’s a reason why teeth whitening has become so popular over the past several years. It’s one of the fastest, least expensive ways to dramatically improve the appearance of your smile! But that doesn’t happen with just any whitening product. In fact, many of the over-the-counter options produce only marginal results after many days of usage. For that reason, we strongly recommend that you talk to Dr. Williamson before investing in any type of OTC whitening product. The fact is that none of those can compare with the stunning results you’ll see after just a single trip to our office thanks to Glo Whitening.
Glo Whitening Take-Home Kits
Just because we don’t recommend OTC whitening products doesn’t mean you can whiten your own teeth at home. In fact, we offer Glo Whitening take-home kits to our patients. So after your initial in-office whitening treatment, you can follow up as needed in the privacy of your own home, at your convenience.
Some Important Teeth Whitening Reminders
Whitening products are a great way to improve the appearance of a person’s smile, but they may not be right for everyone. Keep these important reminders in mind before scheduling your whitening appointment:
- Whitening products only work on your natural teeth. So if you have a lot of restorations – such as fillings, crowns, or implants, for example – whitening products won’t change their shade. And if you have damaged enamel, whitening products won’t work either. (Ask Dr. Williamson about other cosmetic procedures to brighten your smile if your enamel is worn down.)
- Whitening products are not recommended for children.
- If you have sensitive teeth, whitening may be uncomfortable for you since it increases sensitivity. And while that is only temporary, some people may find it an uncomfortable process.
